September 19, 2015–Thank a Police Officer Day

My husband is a member of the Law Enforcement community and I am an unapologetic supporter.

I love my Trooper.  I loved him when he was a kid in college.  I loved him when he was a city officer.  And I will love him still when he retires and putting on that uniform and shining that brass is nothing but a dim memory.

Before he is Law Enforcement, he is mine and that is what matters most to me.  I want him to be treated fairly.  I want him to be safe.  Most of all, I want him to come home to me at the end of the shift.  Ask any LEO spouse and they will tell you the same.

Today is Thank a Police Officer Day.  So to my officer and every other one:  Thank you.

  1. Allyson Odell Hunter says:

It’s important for all of us to be respectful and appreciate what the people in law enforcement do for all of us. I’d hate to live in a world without them! Giving thanks for all of them!

  2. Rita Taylor says:

I have the utmost respect for anyone who puts their life on the line every day for my safety!! My husband was in the Marines but I have 2 cousins who are retired State Police Officers!! Thank You for your service.

    • Thank you so much Rita! I will pass that along to my husband. I know he really appreciates it. And please tell your husband and cousins thank you as well!
