Do you love homemade gifts? Do you ever make them? Are you as excited about that title as I am?!? Because who doesn’t want wonderful, amazing, fabulous things!!
Christmas is a great time to showcase all of your talents and to be creative in the gift-giving department–especially if you have a list that rivals Santa and a budget better suited to the last century! These gifts in a jar are a great way to mark multiple recipients off of your list and still show your thoughtful side. Any of these gifts would be great as a stand-alone present or as an addition to a basket.
Here Are 25 Gifts In a Jar for you to try!
Christmas Tea from That One Mom (Hey, that’s me!!)…Spice tea just like grandma used to make. Well, my grandma anyway! Package this in decorative jars and attach a pretty measuring spoon for a sweet little gift.
Chai Tea Mix from The Kitchen Is My Playground…I’ve never had Chai Tea before, but it sounds yummy. Tracey from The Kitchen Is My Playground recommends using a food processor to get the mix to a really powdery consistency. I really need to find my food processor.
Peppermint Hot Cocoa from Happy Hour Projects…Yummy!! This would be a great addition to a gift basket with some candy canes and a Christmas DVD. Or just packaged in a really cute mug like this one!
Instant Chai Tea Mix from Happy Hour Projects…This would be a great gift for a tea lover. I’m envisioning a gift basket with a mug and a comfy throw right now!
Chill Pills from the Thinking Closet…Lauren’s Chill Pills are a fun gift. She’s even included a free printable file so that you can make your own labels. This would make a super simple White Elephant gift or game night prize!
Nutty Homemade Granola from Lavende and Lemonade…No granola tastes better than homemade granola mix!
Pork Rub Recipe from Cincy Shopper…A simple DIY gift that is great for friends, neighbors, or just that random person you think needs some pork rub!! Great in a BBQ basket with an apron, tongs, or other grilling accessories. You could also pair it with a gift card to the grocery store or butcher shop.
Choconut Cookie Mix from Thrifty Jinxy…Cookies. With coconut. Almost everybody loves cookies so this should be a win-win!
Homemade Ranch Seasoning from Snappy Gourmet…Lisa is sharing six different recipes for Ranch Dressing mix that can be used for salad dressing, dips, and breading. Perfect for a snack basket with chips, crackers, and other dippable things.
White Chocolate Christmas Pretzels from Cincy Shopper…Chocolate dipped pretzels make a great gift for friends or neighbors…or yourself!
Whole Grain Pancake Mix from The Kitchen Is My Playground…Pancake mix is not generally what I think of for gifts in a jar, but I don’t
know why! Pair it with some syrup or a little cast-iron skillet and you’ve got an amazing gift!
Cranberry White Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies from Thrifty Jinxy…Throw the ingredients in a jar and you have a great gift that anybody would love! Plus, you can print the labels for free!
Cinnamon Syrup from The Kitchen Is My Playground…This little jar of goodness would be great with those whole-grain pancakes, but I’m thinking it would be even better on my ice cream!!
Peppermint Flavored Sugar from This Worthey Life…This peppermint sugar uses real peppermint leaves. Which would have been a great project for me if I hadn’t killed my peppermint plant. : (
Kissmas Gift Jar from This Worthey Life…I love this idea. It’s really simple, but the extra little decorations on the bottom of the kisses show you care!!
Toothpick Jar from The Thinking Closet…So what do you give the guy who has everything? A toothpick jar, of course!
DIY Pampering Gift Jars from The Socialites Closet…This is an awesome idea!! It would be great for any age and you can customize it however you want.
Lemon Sugar Scrub from Thrifty Jinxy…Oh, how I love the smell of lemons!! I also love sugar scrubs. This is a win-win in my book!
How To Make Salt Scrub from Savings Lifestyle…Andrea from savings lifestyle shared a whole list of gifts in a jar! I went through and picked a couple of my favorites and this was one of them.
Lavendar Sugar Scrub from So There By Amy…Amy made these as gifts for a shower, but they would work great for stocking stuffers or gift baskets!
Coffee Sugar Scrub from Savings Lifestyle…The best part of waking up…
Lavendar Sugar Scrub from New House New Home New Life…Not only does it smell great, but it looks so elegant!
Vanilla Orange Bath Salts from Savings Lifestyle…I can’t help myself. I love anything citrus!!
Peppermint Sugar Scrub from Cincy Shopper…Sugar scrubs always make great gifts and Peppermint is the perfect Christmas scent!
Paperwhites In a Jar from Hi! It’s Jilly. Jilly starts plants in a jar and gives them as gifts to her neighbors. I think giving people plants is a fabulous gift idea. I would love something like that! Of course, I would probably wind up killing it. My daughter says I have the “Black Thumb of Death” and when plants see me coming, they just will themselves to die because it’s going to happen anyway. Jilly is obviously better at this sort of thing than I am and hopefully, you are too!

Darcy from Preserving My Sanity also has an absolutely fabulous article about gifts in a jar, but she goes into more detail with jar sizes and other recommendations–as well as more recipes! You really need to check it out!!
