Christmas Music Monday: Make a Joyful Christmas Noise!
It’s time for a little Christmas music! Technically, it’s not Monday, but I’m hoping you won’t hold that against me. Yesterday was a rough day and I just didn’t get it done!
After coming home to find that there was no running water and having to put dinner on hold for a few hours, I definitely needed to feel a little joyful! Any of these albums will do for a quick “pick me up.”

Christmas Cheers by Straight No Chaser. These guys are so supremely talented!! And also, so funny! If the Christmas Can-Can and the 12 Days of Christmas don’t give you a little chuckle, it’s possible you might need to stop taking everything so seriously! Or start taking naps.
The Christmas Album from Glee. This is the first of several and it never fails to make me want to sing–loudly!! There really isn’t a bad song on this album, but “Deck the Rooftop” and “Jingle Bells” are the best when you need a little pep in your step.
Merry Christmas by Mariah Carey. I know that “All I Want For Christmas Is You” is a fan favorite, but honestly, I think “Jesus, Oh What a Wonderful Child” is the best song on the album. It really just makes me that happy!
When My Heart Finds Christmas by Harry Connick, Jr.. Harry Connick, Jr. is one of those artists who never gets old to me. If you haven’t heard him, you definitely need to listen. Happy Ho, Ho, Ho to you!!
Wish List:
The Christmas Album Volume 4 from Glee. I have listened to Volumes 2 and 3 on Amazon Prime Music. They are both fabulous and I expect nothing less of the 4th album. I just haven’t listened to it yet!
Holiday Wishes by Idina Menzel. I loved Idina in Frozen. I loved Idina on Glee. I loved Idina in Rent. I’ve loved every clip of Idina in Wicked that I have seen. I’m fairly certain I’ll love this album as well!!
Please share with me: Is there any particular Christmas music that makes you feel more joyful?
