Welcome To A Little Christmas Every Day!

November 1, 2014 by Beth

Now that Halloween is over, it’s time to move on to bigger and better things.  Thanksgiving is coming up, but even better than that, it’s almost Christmas!!  (I apologize if Thanksgiving is your absolute favorite holiday.  I don’t want you to feel bad, but Christmas is AWESOME!)

In case you didn’t know, I love pretty much everything about Christmas–the food, the music, the meaning.  There just seems to be a better feeling in the air.  Not to mention what a difference all of the decorations make to this normally dreary time of the year.  Or at least that’s the case where I live.

Each and every year, I say that I am going to start decorating very early and each and every year, I don’t!  This is going to be the year.  I know my husband doesn’t love the decorations the way that I do and I promise I’m not trying to torture him.  It’s just that it takes me several weeks to finish everything (if I do even finish) and by the time I’ve decorated, shopped, cooked, ran errands, done favors, wrapped gifts, and attended various celebrations, I am too tired to really enjoy my handiwork.  It’s usually right about the time that other people start wondering when I’m going to take the decorations down, that I realize “Gosh, my house looks pretty!”

This year I am most definitely starting anything to do with Christmas early.  So early, in fact, that you might suspect I’m skipping Thanksgiving altogether.  But I’m not skipping it and there will still be lots of posts about that most thankful of holidays!  However, my particular focus for both November and December is going to be on the Christmas Season.  I will be sharing some of my favorite things about the Holiday–music, movies, recipes, decorating, and DIY projects.  There will also be some favorite memories, tips, traditions, and ideas that will hopefully inspire your own celebrations.

I can’t tell you how excited I am.  Please join me here at That One Mom and help me celebrate A Little Christmas Every Day!!
